ClampOn BIRD combines ClampOn’s proven non-intrusive sensor technology with wireless communication, allowing monitoring to be added without pipe penetration, hot work or extensive new cabling.

More monitoring with less infrastructure

ClampOn BIRD uses a self-healing wireless mesh network to transfer sensor data through a gateway. This reduces the infrastructure required to add new monitoring points and makes it practical to monitor locations where wired installations may be difficult or costly.

For sand monitoring, access to real-time measurement data gives operators a clearer understanding of actual sand production. This provides a stronger basis for production decisions while maintaining control of acceptable sand production levels.

Flexible monitoring

ClampOn BIRD supports both temporary data collection and continuous real-time monitoring.

For temporary surveys and troubleshooting, sensors can operate with onboard power and data storage. Data is collected locally and retrieved after the monitoring period.

For continuous applications, BIRD sensors communicate through the wireless mesh network and gateway, making measurement data available to operational and monitoring systems.

Depending on the system configuration, data can be:

• Integrated into existing process control and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
• Made available to asset integrity and condition monitoring systems
• Transmitted securely to ClampOn Cloud for remote access and analysis
