Innovation prize to Geir Instanes for an advanced Subsea Corrosion-Erosion Monitor
On behalf of ClampOn AS, Geir Instanes, has been awarded the Hordaland County Innovation Prize for 2011. The prize was awarded for the company’s development of a subsea corrosion-erosion monitor for installations in the oil and gas industry.

The jury considered the innovation a major contribution to an industry that is very important to the region. The jury also pointed out that intrapreneurship, i.e. creativity and development in existing companies, is very important to value creation.
Prize ceremony
The Innovation Prize was presented by Tom-Christer Nilsen, County Mayor, during the County Council’s meeting in Bergen on Tuesday, 13th December.
