ClampOn has been awarded a contract to supply more of its Ultrasonic Intelligent Sensors to Dalia, the Total operated oilfield.
The field lies in 1200-1500 metres of water off the coast of Angola. Initial production started in 2006. To date, ClampOn has supplied approximately 45 of its Deepwater Particle Monitors, installed to help the operator keep any potential sand production under control.
For Dalia Phase 2A, the smaller and lighter Compact version of the ClampOn subsea instruments has been selected. These will be supplied with “failsafe” redundant electronics – the most advanced version of the ClampOn Particle Monitor, where basically two instruments are included inside the same body.
The acoustic sand detectors are now ready for shipment.
