ClampOn Wireless BIRD Logger
The ClampOn Wireless BIRD Logger is a unique wireless acoustic sensor featuring internal data storage and a new generation DSP electronics platform. It is non-intrusive with an internal powermodule and is designed for autonomous data collection where permanent monitoring infrastructure is not required.
Combining ClampOn’s proven non-intrusive sensor technology with onboard power and data storage, the BIRD Logger can be installed without pipe penetration, hot work, power cables or signal cables. Simply install the sensor, start the monitoring period and retrieve the stored data when the survey is complete.
Depending on the application and logging settings, the BIRD Logger can store up to 47 days of monitoring data.
Applications
- Sand Monitoring
- Leak Detection
- PIG Detection
- More to come..
The BIRD Logger is suited to temporary monitoring, surveys, troubleshooting and feasibility studies where operational data is needed without installing a permanent monitoring system.
Collected data can help identify suitable monitoring locations, assess operating conditions and determine whether permanent monitoring is required.
BIRD Logger applications include:
- Finding the optimal sensor location for permanent monitoring
- Investigating and monitoring valve leakage
- Monitoring PIG operations and campaigns
- Supporting temporary surveys and trouble-shooting
- Capturing acoustic data to support operational and maintenance decisions
Key benefits
- Non-intrusive installation
- No power or signal cables
- Onboard power and data storage
- Rapid installation and removal
- Up to 47 days of data storage, depending on the application and settings
- Suitable for surveys and asset assessment
- Wireless
Monitor before you invest
Collect operational data before committing to permanent monitoring infrastructure. Use the results to understand monitoring requirements, select suitable locations and determine where permanent monitoring can provide value.
