Ole-Jakob Lerøy Neset, Henrik Åsebø Olsen and Thor-Andre Bjørsvik have studied electrical engineering at Høgskulen på Vestlandet (HVL) and collaborated on their graduation project titled "Light communication under water". This project was commissioned by ClampOn, and the students found it both interesting and relevant to their studies.
Starting in January, they worked on the project throughout the spring semester. During their exam presentation, they showcased Lightbyte, a prototype capable of receiving light signals from ClampOn’s vibration sensors. They developed both the electronic and mechanical components of the prototype, demonstrating it in an aquarium. The project was approved, and the students have now earned their bachelor’s degrees from HVL!

Both Ole-Jakob and Thor-Andre start as project engineers at ClampOn, while Henrik already works as an engineer at DSP Nord.
We at ClampOn congratulate you on a job well done, and wish you the best of luck in the future
