Rendezvous in New Foundland

Close to where the Norwegian descendent, Leiv Erikson, became the first non-native to set foot in the Americas, Norwegian and Canadian companies have developed a close relationship.

With many development prospects in the area, St. John’s is the hub for the Eastern Canadian Oil & Gas Industry. In October 2014, the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Tord Lien visited ClampOn in Bergen. He presented a report by Rystad Energy on global demand for oil & gas related services and how international the Norwegian supplier industry has become. A year later, he got to experience it first hand, when he met ClampOn, Inc. in St. John’s at the annual INTSOK Seminar.

President of ClampOn, Inc., Trond Olsen, presented ClampOn's products and technologies for sand and vibration monitoring at the INTSOK seminar. "Using our instrumentation, operators can optimize production, increase revenue and reduce maintenance costs," Olsen told the audience. Since the year 2000, ClampOn has delivered more than 140 sensors to the Canadian market.
