Dag A. Aldal and Area Sales Manager Anja Bilsbak had a quick presentation and a demonstration of some of ClampOn’s products. Project and Production Department Manager, Per Arne Aadland, welcomed Ms. Solberg and Ms. Drevland in the production department, showing them how ClampOn sensors are produced. Finally, Systems Engineer Tormod Reigstad talked about ClampOn’s in-house flow loop, and the visitors stopped by the new production area.
In the following session, Dag A. Aldal talked about ClampOn’s philosophy, which has made the company a global supplier of technology. He also discussed future challenges, such as how taxation is sometimes an obstacle, forcing companies to remove assets to pay taxes instead of putting those assets back into the company to develop further.
Erna Solberg recognised how production of technology instruments is a craft, and how it is important to keep local industry alive. Trude Drevland pointed out that the government makes most decisions influencing companies such as ClampOn. Still, she believes it is important that local politicians have a good dialogue with local companies, in order to stay in touch with the current situation and developments.
