ClampOn recently landed a large contract for more than forty acoustic sensors for the Kaombo field, which lies of the coast of Angola at a depth of approximately 1500 metres. The order consists of subsea Sand and Vibration Monitors and subsea PIG Detectors, and is to be delivered throughout 2015 and 2016. ClampOn will supply to Aker Solutions who last year won the contract from Total E&P Angola to supply the subsea production system for Kaombo.

“This contract strengthens our position in the subsea instrumentation market,” says Kjetil Nysæter, Area Sales Manager at ClampOn. “Being awarded this contract when oil prices are at this level demonstrates that the sector is still vibrant and that operators believe in the future of the oil & gas industry. At ClampOn we always strive to be a little bit better, and will continue to set the pace with our slogan in mind – Always Numero Uno!”
