Cut the cables, keep the control: Wireless Leak Monitoring with ClampOn BIRD

Join us for this webinar where we will talk about the unique ClampOn BIRD Leak Monitor. The ClampOn BIRD Leak Monitor is a fully wireless, batterypowered acoustic sensor designed to detect even the smallest leaks through normally closed valves.
Advantages
- Non-intrusive
- Wireless
- Internal PowerModule
- Versatile
- Real-time measurement
The underlying principle is that leaks generate high-frequency acoustic signals detectable by ultrasonic sensors. In a leak-free environment, the ultrasonic signature remains stable. However, when a leak occurs, the signal pattern changes significantly.
Deploying a network of ClampOn BIRD sensors is fast and straightforward, typically completed within a few hours. Even in remote or undeveloped locations, installation is hassle-free thanks to wireless communication at sub-GHz and battery-powered operation. This eliminates the need for costly cabling, complex wiring diagrams, and termination boxes.

In this webinar, we will showcase how the ClampOn BIRD’s non-intrusive design and selfforming wireless mesh network makes it exceptionally easy to detect leaks even in remote or hardtoaccess locations. Installation takes only hours, and the longlife PowerModule enables extended operation without cabling or external power.
The presentation will be supported by findings from recent field trials, demonstrating the effectiveness and reliability of the technology in real-world conditions.
What you will learn:
- How wireless acoustic monitoring can detect internal valve leaks by identifying changes in ultrasonic signal patterns.
- How multi frequency analysis filters out unrelated noise to isolate leak specific signals.
- Best practice for installing leak sensors directly on or near valves for maximum sensitivity.
- Insights from real world deployments displaying how early leak detection supports safe and efficient operations.
- Differences between the wireless BIRD Leak Monitor and the wired DSP Leak Monitor.
