ClampOn has a wealth of highly talented people driving innovation and service forward, and this dedicated team is our most important asset.
Kristian Fyllingen Orstad Engineer, Sand Management & Support
I started working for ClampOn in June 2014 as a Support Engineer. The best part of being a Support Engineer is that we work very independently, yet very much together as a group. As long as oil and gas are being produced, then there’s got to be someone there to spot the sand! When I’m not working, I try to raise a kid, build a robot and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Baard Brattebø Area Sales Manager - Africa, Caspian Region, Middle East & Russia
I joined ClampOn in 2000. Since then I have worked in different departments; Production, Service, Projects and for the last six years in the Sales Department.
I love my job, it gives me the opportunity to travel and meet people from other cultures and nations. I am given a lot of freedom and can focus on new and alternative projects when that is needed. I believe the industry we are working in will keep us occupied and challenged for years to come. Outside of work I very much enjoy boat life during summer season and skiing during winter season. My family; wife and two kids and work colleagues keep me busy and happy all year round. I love: skiing, water sports, hiking, hunting, IT, DIY. Carpe Diem……………….
Erik Haugstvedt Manager of QA & HSE
I started at ClampOn in August 1997, and have been Manager of QA & HSE since 2008. I previously worked in the Production Department and in the Service Department as a Field Engineer.
Audun Pedersen Development Manager
I joined ClampOn in 2012 and work a Development Manager. In our job as developers we are encouraged to think freely in search of solutions for exciting technical and scientific challenges. We work closely with experts in a wide range of technical fields both within our own company and with customers, suppliers, and academic partners. The best part of my job is the diversity of our tasks; ranging from practical engineering solutions to in-depth technology development.
Kristian B. Lygre Systems Coordinator
I’ve been at ClampOn since 2002. At the moment I’m working as a Systems Coordinator, and implementing ERP is my main task right now. Before that, I’ve worked as a Project Engineer and I was involved in the renovation of ClampOn’s premises. The challenges come at you thick and fast here, which means there are plenty of opportunities to learn. The industry is very competitive, which drives technology and systems forward. I have a partner and two children, and we all like to get out into the mountains.
Tonje Dahl Marketing and Communications Manager
I am Marketing and Communications Manager, and have been working on the marketing side since the start of summer 1997. I have a lot of wonderful colleagues here and an exciting job. ClampOn is a developing company – when I started, there were 6–7–8 of us – now there are about 100 in Bergen and 15 in Houston. This has got to be the best industry to work in. The number of women in the industry has increased considerably since I started and now we are almost 50% represented! Even so, men are still very much in the majority in some parts of the industry. I go into the mountains as often as I can. With a hectic life, small children and almost constant activity, it’s good to find some peace and quiet in the mountains, in summer and in winter. Skiing trips on the Hardanger plateau are fantastic and so are hiking trips on the plateau in summer. Throughout my years at ClampOn, I’ve met so many amazing people, both as colleagues at ClampOn and contacts in other companies. We’ve had a lot of fun in that time, with unforgettable trips around the world, encounters with different cultures and people, new acquaintances and friends who I really appreciate.
Katarzyna (Kasja) Karpowicz Instrument Technician
I have worked here at ClampOn since 6 January 2014 as an Instrument Technician. What I like about my job is that it gives me new challenges every day.
Jan-Henrik Gunby Development Engineer
I started working with ClampOn in January 2010 and worked in the Service Department. I now work in the Development Department, primarily on the Corrosion-Erosion Monitor. The day-to-day technical challenges and a great working environment are the best parts of my job. Oil and gas will be there for as long as I’m of working age. The technology, expertise and ideas, we and other offshore companies develop, will form the foundation of Norway’s future. I grew up in Laksevåg and live just 100m from work. I live with my girlfriend, dog and robot vacuum cleaner!
Marquita Joseph Sales & Marketing Coordinator
I am a native Houstonian who started working with ClampOn in the Fall of 2011. I very much enjoy being the Sales & Marketing Coordinator for the Houston, TX office. What I love most about my job is organizing the events and trade shows that allow us to get face to face with potential and current clients. The organizing of these shows; includes traveling and the chance to experience new things and meet people from all over the world.
I’ve grasped a tremendous amount of knowledge about the industry since joining ClampOn and continue to learn something new every day. This industry is constantly growing and changing so much that you can’t help but to embrace it. When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my beloved family and friends, read books and travel.
Gaute Langhelle Engineer, Field Operations
I have been with ClampOn since 2002, except during a three year period when I was studying. I started as an apprentice in the Production Department and now work in the Service Department. I get to see parts of the world I probably wouldn’t choose to go to for a holiday! In my spare time I like to go on walks with my dog, Helmut, and hunting when it’s in season.
Hilary Ndudi Field Engineer
I started working with ClampOn in January of 2010. Currently hold a Field Engineer position in the service and support department. One thing that motivates me on the job I do here in ClampOn is the opportunity to share knowledge and provide solutions. I am glad to work in the upstream sector of the oil and Gas industry which I think is very challenging but at the same time very rewarding; no doubt it offers a real opportunity for a fulfilling career. I am married to Rosemary and we are raising 3 daughters and a son. I like to spend my spare time doing charity works what I call ‘the extra stuff’. Indeed it’s been a very fruitful experience in ClampOn Inc. – a great company of people!
Vidar Hundvin Senior CAD Engineer
I have been with ClampOn since October 2013 as Senior CAD Engineer in the Project Department. I like the teamwork with skilled colleagues, preparing ClampOn for the future in a hi-tech and exciting sector within the oil and gas industry. I love outdoor activities and prefer the vertical route to the mountain peak.
Andreas Dalsgård Research & Development Engineer
I have been working with ClampOn since 2013. I work as a Research & Development Engineer, but started in the Project Department and worked there for one and a half years before I transferred to the R&D Department. The best thing about my job is the fact that I can work with high technology electronics in a fun environment. Most of the job requires me to work independently or in small teams developing new solutions and that suits me very well. The oil and gas industry is an exciting place to work, as the customers demand more advanced instruments every day to push the limits. When I’m not working, I try to relax with friends and family. During the summer I spend my free time diving and during the winter I go skiing in the mountains. I had a two year break from ClampOn when I travelled to Australia for additional studies and work. After completing my Master’s Degree and returning to Norway, I got the chance to start working in the R&D Department again. I did not hesitate to take this opportunity, as ClampOn is a great place to work.
Steinar Vågane Project Engineer
I have worked at ClampOn since March 2012. My position is Project Engineer. ClampOn has a really good working environment and I have many great colleagues. The working facilities are also the best; I often get comments from visiting clients regarding this.
Kjetil Nysæter Area Sales Manager - UK
I’ve been working with ClampOn since 1998. Now I work in sales; before that I was in Production, Service and IT. It’s great working here; I’ve learned a lot, and been allowed to work with a variety of tasks. The job involves a lot of challenges and great colleagues. The industry is exciting; money is no object, there are huge opportunities, and it doesn’t take long for ideas to become reality.
Marius Nyhammer Engineer, Sand Management & Support
I have been working at ClampOn since August 2014 as an Engineer in the Support Department. Oil and gas is an exciting industry, with high demand for new technology. It is interesting to be a part of an innovative company like ClampOn. I never stop being impressed by the skilled and dedicated people who work here. When I’m not working, I spend time with my family, go for bike rides and train my dog for search and rescue in «Norwegian Search and Rescue Dogs». I love spending time in nature and challenge myself in sports and activities. In “my younger days”, I competed in cycling and represented Norway’s national team. Now I try to keep in shape by cycling to work and spending time walking or running in the beautiful Norwegian mountains.
Trond Olsen President at ClampOn Inc.
I joined ClampOn in January 2014. In the summer of 2014 my family and I moved to Houston, where I took position as President of our subsidiary ClampOn, Inc., with responsibility for North and South America. My position is extremely exciting and challenging. I am running an organisation made up of people who all have a different cultural background to me. I am living and working in countries with culture and mindset other than what I am used to. I’ll be selling ClampOn’s products and services to these countries, and keep building up the company’s good reputation.
Moving to Houston changes our lifestyle somewhat. We are not able to spend our usual weekends in our cabin skiing all winter long. Nor will we continue spending summer vacation in our yacht along the Norwegian coast. Fortunately, we are an active and adaptable family, so we are going to make the most of the opportunity to experience another continent and try things that we otherwise would not get the chance to do. Having an active lifestyle is important to me, not least when my family and I are going to live in Houston. One activity I, and my family, very much enjoy is golf and with the Houston climate, there will be plenty of opportunities to pursue that interest.
Stian Grønsberg Engineer, Field Operations
I started at ClampOn in August 2007 in Production, then I moved over to Service in 2009. At the moment I work as a Field Operations Engineer and the job can be challenging. There are many specialised technology companies and ClampOn is part of a good network of companies with specialised instrumentation for the subsea industry. The oil & gas industry is a global industry giving us the opportunity to travel and work on service jobs worldwide. Outside of work, I like to take photos.
Kenneth Sjøvold Engineer, Field Operations
I started working at ClampOn in July 2013 and am really enjoying it. We have a great working environment and the work is varied and challenging. The best thing about my job is all the new experiences I have, while travelling all over the world. My work days can be long, but in turn I also have a lot of free time, which gives me opportunities I otherwise would not have.
Endre Kolle Engineer, Field Operations
I started my journey as a Field Engineer with ClampOn in 2014. What I really love about my job is that I get to work with exciting technology, both offshore and onshore all around the world. The oil and gas industry is constantly changing; meaning that a good challenge is always around the corner, making us grow a little bit every day.
Tor Andreas Lothe Engineer, Field Operations
I have been with ClampOn since August 2014 and I work as a Field Engineer. The best part of my job is I get to travel a lot, meet new people and challenge myself. In my spare time I like to ride my motorcycle, hang out with friends and family and work out.
Magnus Soltvedt Warehouse Keeper
I have been with ClampOn since 2012. My current position is Warehouse Keeper and I mostly work with exports. The best thing about my job is the great working environment. Leisure interests: I like to party!
Bernt H. Hembre Development Engineer
I started working at ClampOn in August 2011. I work as a Development Engineer, responsible for development of the CEMAT-2 and have been in this role since I started. My job offers exciting technical challenges and a very positive working environment. Oil and gas is an unusual industry where on an overall level you take enormous environmental and safety risks, while at the same time having an extreme focus on the environment and safety at an employee level. I enjoy flying gliders and diving. I have just become a dad.
Tormod Reigstad Systems Engineer
I joined ClampOn in 2003 and work as Systems Engineer. The best part of my job is the diversity. I get to work on a lot of challenges within programming, different communication technology, flow-rig construction and I also get to go on trips offshore occasionally. Last, but not least, I get to work with a lot of highly skilled people, who make ClampOn a great workplace. My family and I live in a rural area where I enjoy road bicycle racing, home improvement and our dedicated home theatre.
Ingvill Skjellvik Purchaser
I started working at ClampOn in September 2014 as a Purchaser; I am the temporary replacement for Jørgen Engum, as he is on paternity leave until March 2015. I have experience from both B2B sale and purchase processes, but mainly from the accessories and clothing industry. Although the actual purchase process may be similar, it is a totally new world for me to work in the oil and gas industry. I find it very exciting and I am so grateful for having the opportunity to work here. I am learning new things every day. Luckily for me, I have great colleagues who patiently answer all my questions! My husband and I have two small girls aged 4 and 2; we have a very busy everyday life. I like to spend my spare time with family and friends – perfect if its outdoors!
Kurt Høyheim Senior Project Engineer
I started working for ClampOn in February 2007. My position is Senior Project Engineer, but I started in Logistics and then moved over to Projects after another four months. The degree of freedom I have with my job is something with which I’m extremely satisfied. I’m also my own boss in terms of project management. Freedom in terms of working hours is also fantastic when you’re a notorious night owl. I’ve seen huge changes in the industry in the almost seven years since I’ve been working with projects. The way projects are implemented has become more complicated; the operators are setting greater documentation, testing and qualification requirements, which is a challenge for all suppliers, including ourselves.
Eirik Kjelstrup Solberg Project Engineer
I started in ClampOn AS in 2006, where I’ve worked for around six years in Production and two years in Service. Now I work as a Project Engineer in the Project Department.
Leif Magnus Myren Engineer, Field Operations
I have been working at ClampOn since 2013. My position is Field Service Engineer. The best thing about my job is the fact that new challenges are constantly coming my way and it’s also exciting to be part of an innovative company. I have just got married and in my leisure time I like to play guitar.
Mona Birkeland Production Technician
I joined ClampOn in 2014 as a Production Technician, after many years in the telecommunications industry. The oil and gas industry is new to me; however what I have seen so far seems to be extremely exciting and there are new challenges every day. I am married to Stig and we have two grown-up daughters. Outside of work I spend a lot of time in the mountains, both in summer and winter.
Roger Sæle Software Developer
I joined ClampOn in 2004. I started my career in ClampOn travelling around the world as a service engineer. After doing this for a couple of years I started working at the Support Department, which was in its infancy with only two employees including myself. Recently I started working at the IT Department as a Software Developer. I like the creative process of developing software. It is always rewarding to see the finished result.
Marion Davidsen Berge Logistics Coordinator
I started work as Receptionist with ClampOn in 2007. Early in 2008 I became a Logistics Coordinator and have since been a part of the Logistics Team. The best things about my work are my colleagues and the fact that there is always action; it´s challenging and you are always learning something new. My closest family is Tony, Leon and Anna. We also have a dog, her name is Tijana. I love to draw and paint, as well as always being involved in a new project in the garden or in the house. I also have a passion for baking and other creative food art.
Johnny Aadland Instrument Technician
I’ve worked at ClampOn since 2011 and I work in the production department. The best thing about my job is the varied work and all of the many new challenges that have to be solved. I think the oil industry will be needing ClampOn’s products for a long time to come. I spend my free time with my family and as an athletics coach.
Paul Sandal Software Developer
I have worked at ClampOn since autumn 2010. My current position is Software Developer. I am responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining ClampOn computer software. I had a year break from ClampOn in 2013 when I was exploring the world at the slow pace of a sailboat. The best things about my job are it is interesting and ever-changing. There’s always something new to learn.
Arild Inge Bakke Senior Mechanical Engineer
I have been at ClampOn since 2011. My current position is Mechanical Designer. The best thing about my job is the fact that I get to create new things. Outside of work, I think it’s important to be in touch with all the seasons. When is the snow coming?!
Kjell Hjelmeseter Senior Engineer
I started in 2000 as Senior Engineer, R&D & Certification. The best thing is managing development projects from beginning to end. Developing ClampOn’s CAN bus interface has been encouraging. I enjoy walking in the woods with the children and making a bonfire outside.
Janne Rimstad Personnel Coordinator
I’ve been Personnel Coordinator – Service since 2000. I started as a secretary when ClampOn was in its infancy; in those days everyone in the company had more than one role and often several “hats”. A fax machine was a necessity, and the internet was something new and exciting. What I value most here is that you have a lot of responsibility, that you are able to organise your own time and shape your own workdays. I need fresh air and to be active as a release for all my energy. I own AND use lots of different types of running shoes, both for indoors and outdoors. Other than that I love good food and spend a lot of my time in the kitchen.
Janicke Aune Runshaug Purchaser
I’ve been working as a Purchaser since November 2011. The best thing about my job is working in a young, dynamic environment. Oil and gas is like a treasure on the sea bed. My life is hectic as I have two small girls. Keeping fit is a priority for me, so to make time for that, I jog to work as often as I can; otherwise it’s full speed on the Vespa!
Eric Nilsen Senior Engineer Technical Documentation
When I was invited for a job interview in 1999, I had just secured a year’s study as a creative web designer and I was unsure this job would be for me; however the interview went well and I was happy to accept the offer I received to start in Production. Since I started in ClampOn I have been working in Production for 7 years, Projects for 8 years and since 2014 I have been with the Development Department. I am genuinely committed to my job and to the position I have in the company. Typically, after a 12-hour shift at work, I can go home and relax on the sofa, where I enjoy reading specialist literature such as ATEX/IECEx standards. I like my job ‘too much’; I would say the environment is unique, almost like a family.
Bjørn Solberg Production Leader
I have worked with ClampOn as an Instrument Technician since September 1997. The best thing is that there’s always a lot happening; we don’t have time to be bored.
Øyvind Rørtveit Developer
I’ve been working here as a developer since 2011. The best thing is that no one minds if I’m five minutes late, because I can make it up in the afternoon. Outside of work? I like turtles.
Ronny Vågenes Instrument Technician
I have been working in ClampOn since June 2002. My position has been Instrument Technician since the very beginning. What I like about my job is that it is extremely varied. Our products are in continuous development, in a way that challenges never stop coming. There is always something new to exploit. The oil and gas industry is always changing and will hopefully give us work and interesting tasks for years to come. Since 2003, ClampOn has employed trainees and we educate several students within a four year programme every year. They are trained as Production Electricians and end their education with an apprenticeship examination. I have been involved with this training, for the last few years as a leader for their programme and find it rewarding to see the young students develop their potential during the years. Outside of work I enjoy photography, sailing and being outside in nature.
Jørgen Engum Purchaser
I’ve worked at ClampOn since 2008 and my current position is Purchaser. I have been in the Logistics Department from the beginning, but in different roles as Warehouse Keeper and Exporter before becoming Purchaser. The best things by far are my colleagues and our working environment! It’s also very exciting to be a part of developing this growing business. There’s nothing like a mountain covered in fresh powder snow, ready for my snowboard tracks! Except my little new-born daughter smiling at me :o)
Anja Bilsbak Area Sales Manager - Norway
I started working at ClampOn in 2009. I appreciate the good working environment that we have and I am very happy to be a part of the ClampOn family. What I like most about my job is the varied workdays, always new challenges, I get to meet lots of new people, take part in conventions and meetings and I get to travel and see new places. I spend most of my leisure time together with my No. 1s – my family! <3
Ingvill Ydse Sales
I’ve worked in the Sales department since December 2011. I love the fact that my job is very exciting and that I have the opportunity to work in a field that is always changing. However, the best part of my job must be all the great colleagues around me; they are like a family. This is an industry that is always changing and there are always new ways to extract oil and gas where it was previously thought impossible to do so. I think the industry will keep growing for many years to come. Skiing or climbing? I like doing both these things in my spare time.
Hans Rune Torsvik Project Engineer
I have worked here since autumn 2009; I started in Production and moved over to Projects. Since October 2013 I’ve worked as a Project Engineer. The work is exciting and varied, and provides a lot of challenges. The oil and gas industry is an exciting industry.
Tine Berg-Olsen Marketing & Events Manager
I have worked at ClampOn since 2000 and I am the Marketing & Events Manager. During my first seven years I was responsible for purchasing and despatching equipment and was also responsible for QA. In 2005 I moved over to the Sales Department and since then have been working in Sales and Marketing. What I appreciate are good colleagues and a varied job with a lot of different tasks. My work also gives me the chance to travel and see some of the world. Outside of work I like being out in the beautiful Norwegian countryside, so I often go to our cabin in the mountains with my family and friends where we go hiking or skiing. I enjoy being active and love my daily walks with my dog Leah, no matter what the weather – “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing” :o)
Eirik Walle Area Sales Manager - Denmark & The Netherlands
I have worked as an Area Sales Manager in ClampOn since 2011. The best things about the job are my many highly skilled colleagues, the culture/environment and a global workplace. I find the industry exciting and challenging with global and cultural differences. I am interested in music, in particular the ‘Baronsfestival’ Music Festival. I am also recently married. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings for ClampOn!
Tom Strann HR Manager
I’ve been working with ClampOn since 2013 as HR Manager. The best thing about my job is the fact that all my colleagues at ClampOn are fantastic to work with, and the great environment that we’ve created together. We’re definitely happy campers. I want to strike a blow for the phrase ‘get up off the sofa’, and encourage ClampOn’s staff to take part in healthy activities in their leisure time. It will improve their health and give them more energy.
Grethe Krohn-Hansen Sales
I started at ClampOn in spring 1997 in the Accounts Department. At that time we were a “happy little family” with only 10 employees. After 10 years as an accountant, I got the opportunity to work in the back office of our Sales Department. It has been both exciting and challenging to work for ClampOn during these 17 years. The best part has been the success we have achieved both domestically and abroad, and the small family has now grown into 100 employees in Bergen. I look forward to following ClampOn into the future, but first we will celebrate our 20th anniversary
Geir Hjelmeland Instrument Technician
I’ve been at ClampOn since 2001, and have worked in the Production Department the whole time. I like the fact that we constantly get new challenges. The life of the oil and gas industry will be a long one because of the new technologies that will enable us to exploit the resources that are currently hard to extract. I think that we’ll see the biggest developments in the subsea market in particular. I have a 31 year old daughter and a 27 year old son, and a partner whose name is Beate. My hobbies include my boat, house and garden, cars, motorbikes and travel. Leisure? What’s that then?
Torbjørn Haugsdal Service Department Manager
I have been at ClampOn since March 2000, the whole time as the Service Department Manager. However, the department and therefore my job have changed a lot in that time. In 2000 there were three of us working in Service, now there are 25. By far the best thing about this job is the fact that I work with people. Managers, staff and not least customers and because our activities are so international, I get the pleasure of working with people from very different cultures. There’s certainly a lot to criticise about the oil industry, but you can’t say it isn’t an exciting industry. At ClampOn, like in the rest of the industry, we are constantly moving boundaries in technology, but also in practical things; getting people and information to and from the far corners of the earth, with deadlines that can often seem impossible. When I’m not working, I spend my time sailing in regattas with my wife and with many of my great colleagues from ClampOn. Many of the challenges we face at work, such as cooperation and teambuilding, are the same in sailing. But in a boat, we work together more closely and the time-scales are shorter. Most of my presentations begin with a picture of a sailboat. It’s surprising how many people then become interested!
Anne Britt Skar Tysseland Project Engineer
I’ve been working at ClampOn since September 2013 as a Project Engineer/Project Manager. What I like best about my job is being able to follow the process closely from the time a product is sold to the time it’s delivered, and being able to work closely with so many of the people involved and have contact/follow-up with the customer. I am married with three lovely children. In my spare time I like to be outdoors and love going for trips, preferably to the mountains, either on foot or skiing.
Arild Steinsund-Dalseide Instrument Technician
I have worked as an Instrument Technician since November 2012. The best things in my job are good colleagues and exciting and challenging work tasks – there is also a lot of paperwork! I enjoy deer hunting and fishing in the fjords.
Joaquin Alejandro Correas Pernigotti Field Engineer
I have been working at ClampOn since 5 August 2013! Since then, I’ve been working as a Field Engineer and am very happy here! There are so many things that I think are good about the job; we have a lovely, modern building, there are loads of great people, and the best thing about working here is that I’m learning so much and feel that I’m really maturing. In my spare time, I try to find things to do, because even if I do CrossFit training for an hour a day, five days a week, there are still so many hours left in the day! And finally, I would like to give ClampOn my best wishes for its 20th anniversary!
Chris Mejia Project Engineer
I have been with ClampOn since 2007. My current title is Project Engineer for the Houston, TX office. I started out as a field service technician and really enjoyed traveling to many different countries, learning about their cultures and most importantly their food customs. The best thing about my job is that I get to interact with many different types of oil & gas industry professionals which helps me learn new things every single day about the industry and its practices. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travel, try new foods, and read about technology.
Øyvind Lønning Engineer, Field Operations
I have been working at ClampOn as a Field Engineer since August 2014. There are so many things I like about my job; I always meet new challenges, get to travel to places I probably wouldn’t visit otherwise and of course the work environment. My greatest hobby is competition shooting, so in my spare time I put a lot of effort into the training that comes with it. I also, of course, enjoy having social time with my friends.
Alexander Bødtker Warehouse Keeper
I have been with Clampon since Autumn of 2013. My job title is Warehouse Keeper.
The best thing about my job is the variation in the work and the fact that I have contact with people from every department, so I get to talk to pretty much everyone. I think the oil and gas industry is very important! Where would Norway be without it?
I have two daughters, aged 3 and 6 and I love football.
Nina Torkelsen Financial Manager
I started working at ClampOn in 1997 and I am the Financial Manager. I have had the same title since I started here, but my workday has changed every year as ClampOn has grown bigger and bigger. The best part of my job is having new challenges every day – and working with people I care about. I believe the oil- and gas industry will continue to play a significant role when it comes to development and utilization of new technology and that companies like ClampOn will play an important role in the industry for many years to come. My passion outside work is brass bands. I have played the tuba since I was 11 years old – and I’m still learning to be a better tuba player – it’s a life-long quest for perfection (much like working for a technology company like ClampOn!)
Kristine Johnsen Engineer, Sand Management & Support
I have been working at ClampOn since March 2013 as a Project Engineer and since May 2016 I got the opportunity to work in the Support Department.
The best thing about my job is that I learn something new every day and that all departments are under the same roof. This way I believe we communicate better and gain a better understanding of the different roles. I also work with great colleagues in a really good working environment. In my free time, I like to exercise, visit friends and travel back home to Kvinnherad to visit my family.
Caleb Roquemore International Sales
I have been with ClampOn since early 2013. My title is International Sales. I really enjoy the oil and gas industry.
This position gives me the opportunity to meet interesting people, both at work and in the field.
When I am not working you can find me outdoors, hunting, fishing, or playing golf.
Mads Toppe IT Manager
I’ve been working here since 1998 – 16 years. I work as an IT Manager (managing software product development and ICT operations). I started as a Systems Engineer in the Project Department, and spent around 100 days a year doing service and support in the field for the first five years. The best thing is the freedom to make an impact. Also the upbeat and informal, but professional working environment. The oil and gas industry offers much enthusiasm and great opportunities, in both good and troubled times.
Åsmund Bakke Support Service Manager
I have been working at ClampOn since 2004. During my first six years, I worked as a Service Engineer travelling worldwide. I was born in a small fjord village south of Bergen and had never been overseas before, so I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity. My first trip was to Baku, Azerbaijan and was an adventure; I have since visited all continents, including Antarctica and learned a lot about other cultures and expanded my perspective of the world. From 2009 I have been working in the Support Department and am now working as Support Service Manager. The combination of working with people and technical systems are the best part of my job, in addition to working in a great team. Before I started at ClampOn I worked with cars in the VAG Group and I still enjoy troubleshooting on complex car problems. My family and the countryside around Folgefonna (a glacier in Norway, where you can also go skiing during summertime) where I grew up, are most important to me.
Anne Marie Fauske Johansson Controller
I started as Controller at ClampOn in March 2014. It is an exciting job with varied tasks. I enjoy working in a young environment and with so many different specializations within the team. I find ClampOn to be a company with a very good working environment and a wonderful group of amazing colleagues. My spare time is spent with my family, husband and three active kids. I love baking and often surprise my colleagues with some bakery treats. I try to walk in nature every day – it relaxes me and gives me new energy.
Robert Harrison Project Engineer
I’ve been at ClampOn since 2011. My current position is Project Engineer. As well as projects, I also have a responsibility for our standard technical documentation. I love the variation in my job, ClampOn’s open and flexible culture and the international aspect of the work. The oil and gas industry is hugely important throughout the world. There is enormous potential for ClampOn’s products, especially with the ever greater focus on increasing productivity and safety. It’s particularly exciting to be part of that in one of the industry’s leading technology companies.
Hege Schütt Edal Logistics Manager
I’ve worked at ClampOn since 2005. My current position is Logistics Manager, with responsibility for purchasing, warehouse and dispatch. I’ve also worked in the Sales Department for a couple of years. The best part of my job is the high level of activity and working with very skilled and positive people. The oil industry is exciting, technically complex and innovative, where fresh challenges are always just around the corner. From a logistics perspective, there is always room for improvement, especially when it comes to cooperation and working with the various links in the value chain. My weekends are often spent with family and friends at our cabin in the mountains, where we like to go skiing. Other than that much of my spare time is spent on activities with my children, husband and dog. We have two active girls who like swimming, handball, gymnastics and skiing. And when I have a bit of time left over at home, I like to pick up a pair of knitting needles or a paintbrush.
Olav Brakstad Sales Manager
I’ve been with ClampOn since 1999. I’ve worked in Sales right from the start, but also spent some time in Service at the beginning as part of my training. Initially I was area representative for Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands, and after a while covered Asia and the Pacific. I became Sales Manager in 2008. My work in Sales is hectic and exciting, and what I enjoy most is the contact I have with my colleagues and customers. I find working in a global industry like the oil industry exciting, particularly being part of the development and sale of ClampOn’s new technology and products. Not every company is as proactive as we are. In my spare time I like to go fishing and hiking – preferably up in the mountains. Not much can beat mountainous areas of Western Norway.
Truls Kultorp Instrument Technician
I have been with ClampOn since beginning of 2014 and work as an Instrument Technician. The best thing about the job is the fact that it requires precision and skills/knowledge, which means that there is a huge potential to develop yourself and other people. The oil and gas industry should soon be getting some competition from renewable resources.
Jens Nepper Logistics Coordinator
I have been with ClampOn since 2013 and I work as Logistics Coordinator. The working environment and atmosphere in the Logistics Department and generally throughout the company is the best thing about my job. It’s absolutely brilliant to be working with such great people. It’s hard to avoid the oil and gas industry here in Norway, and that’s one of many reasons why, as a Dane, I’m living in Bergen. Leisure interests are music, cinema and ice hockey; family and friends are extremely important to me. In other words, free time is sacred. I’m looking forward to ClampOn’s 20th anniversary celebrations in my home country. It will be epic!
Heine Håheim Joanesarson Senior Engineer, Sand Management & Support
I have been with ClampOn since 2006. During my first four years I was working in the Service Department and travelling worldwide, which was interesting and exciting. I am currently working in the Support Department. ClampOn is a great place to work at due to great colleagues and a friendly community; there is always someone who wants to join in social activities, whether it be a ski trip or a quiet beer at the pub.
Thomas Ødegaard Developer
On 1 February 2007 I started working with ClampOn in the Project Department, where I worked until October 2013. Since then my position has been Software Developer. I learn something new in my job all the time. I live with my partner and two small children and I like running.
Martin Kjelstrup Solberg Production Manager
I’ve been at ClampOn since 2012, and have been working as head of the Production Department. What I like most about my job is the fact that no two days are alike. Oil and gas is an exciting industry to work in.
Linda Hope Pedersen Sales
I started as an Accountant in May 2007. September 2014 I started working at the sales department. I’m proud of working for such a solid and exciting company with so many lovely colleagues! The industry offers a secure future. I like trips in the mountains with our dog Debbie and the rest of the family. Other than that, I spend most of my free time on activities with the children.
Lollo Larsen Project Coordinator
I have been with ClampOn since 2008. I work as a Project Coordinator, but I started as an Administration Secretary in Reception. My job gives me fantastic colleagues, a great working environment and I get to work with my husband…. The world needs plenty of energy. At the moment there aren’t enough ‘green’ resources, so we will probably have to live with fossil fuels for the rest of my lifetime. The industry provides secure jobs. I’m Italian and I go to Italy as often as I can; I pack a few things, take my family and just go.
Kim Eikefet Document Controller
I have worked as a Document Controller since August 2013. As this is a new position I have a good opportunity to develop and influence it. Also, I have great colleagues. Working with a non-renewable resource is challenging. It is important to get the most out of each location and to utilize the safest and most efficient ways of extracting the resources. I am happy to work for a company that provides monitors that help with this.
Per Arne Aadland Manager of Project and Production
I started my career at ClampOn in 1997 and have been working as Manager of Project and Production since then. For the first few years I was more directly involved in client contact and follow-up of individual Purchase Orders, but as the company has grown, my job has become more of an administrative position. I enjoy the continuously varying challenges in my everyday work and the good colleagues at ClampOn. For recreation I prefer outdoor pursuits, tracking and sports – both in summer and winter.
